About the Artist

Hannah is an environmental policy master’s student and Colorado-based artist in the front range. Hannah gathers inspiration from nature, exploring the movement of wind, water, and light in her paintings.

Hannah’s lifelong journey with chronic illness is also a place of inspiration. Hannah deals with chronic pain on a daily basis, and that battle comes through in the expressive nature of her work. Bold lines and colors express the ups and downs of pain throughout the day and represent the struggle to stay positive throughout the experience of illness. Her work likewise represents this mood, where you can show up authentically and honestly about how you feel.

Hannah’s love for the nature shows through in her subjects, which are largely environmental. Her work exemplifies the inherent value of nature and art, both of which are constantly under threat. Her impressionist style allows the viewer to interpret the intrinsic value of nature and she hopes to inspire people to respect the environment through her work both in the policy and art space.

Hannah enjoys spending time in nature for inspiration, including hiking, biking, and walking with her corgi, Spud.
